Bahrain: Permit for self-sponsored residence will now to be processed online

Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA) announced on Saturday that applying or issuing self-sponsored residence permits could be through its website www.evisa.gov.bh.

The service covers foreign retirees, investors and property owner in Bahrain. The validity of the permit varies from two, five and ten years.

The launching of the online service was part of the Interior Minister’s directives to expand e-services and the directorate’s approach to gradually transfer services to the website to facilitate the applying process without the need for personal attendance.

The service is also part of the NPRA dedication to promoting the investment environment as part of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
