Now Vinayachandran's video is now among the courses offered on the WHO’s website

At a time when maximum knowledge and awareness is reaching people through different media on COVID-19, there is a section of the hearing impaired community who do know the seriousness and are not given information about the pandemic situation.

Considering their condition, a professional sign language interpreter, B.S. Vinayachandran from Thiruvanathapuram wrote to World Health Organisation (WHO) about including a sign language video for them and to his amazement, WHO responded back the same requesting him to make the sign language version of a WHO video on COVID-19, reports The Hindu.

Now Vinayachandran's video is now among the courses offered on the WHO’s website and has also been chosen by the Union government’s Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) as one of its 10 annual certification courses.
