Woah! Man buys 160 lottery tickets for one drawing, wins 160 times

He found out that he had won while he was waiting in the drive-thru line of a fast-food restaurant.

Lottery and luck go hand and hand. A Virginia man who bought 160 tickets for one lottery drawing has won 160 times. He said that he had "a feeling" about some numbers he copied from down from a TV show.

Kwame Cross of Dumfries bought 160 tickets for the Pick 4's Dec 5 night drawing from the Roselyn Sunoco in Arlington. All of the tickets bore the same number combination: 7314.

"I saw an address in a TV show, in the background, and for some reason, it stayed with me," he told Lottery officials. "I just had a feeling."

Each of those 160 tickets won a top prize, for a grand total of $800,000 (Rs 5.89 crore).

He found out that he had won while he was waiting in the drive-thru line of a fast-food restaurant.

"I thought, 'This can’t be real!'" he said. "I had to pull over and check like 82 times. It feels surreal!"

Cross has not planned yet what he will do with his big winnings.

In one incident, a man named Raymond Harrington got richer by $1,25,000 after he bought 25 identical lottery tickets for the same drawing and won 25 times.

In another incident, Samir Mazahem, from Michigan, accidentally bought two lottery tickets where each had the winning money amounting to $1 million.

"I couldn’t believe it was real. It took several days for the reality to set in that my mistake had paid off to the tune of $2 million!" he told AP.

Mazahem said that he would save some and buy himself a house with the rest of the money.
