Meet Genevieve, the real life Rapunzel from Russia, with hair close to 5 feet

There are very few people in this world who haven’t heard of the story of Rapunzel. The long lost princess whose luscious tresses helped the prince climb up a long tower. Now, a woman from Russia has gone viral on Instagram for reminding people of Rapunzel.

Genevieve Dove, a poetess from Russia, boasts of having long hair which measures close to 4.9 feet. With over 131k followers on Instagram, Genevieve shares pictures of taking care of such long hair and keeping it healthy as well.

According to a report by The Daily Star, Genevieve gets a lot of creepy comments from Instagram users on her posts. However, she doesn’t let them affect her. From showing her haircare routine to sharing tips for having silky hair, the videos shared on her page are pretty interesting.

“Genevieve was inspired by medieval princesses and mystical heroines as a child, which led to her growing her hair,” says the report by The Daily Star. "I don't smoke and I don't drink alcohol, perhaps also contributing to the health of my hair. I can comb my hair and braid it in ten minutes maximum. It doesn’t take long to style it. If you ask me what advice I would give, I advise leading a healthy lifestyle,” she told the publication.
