Notice denying entry to female students without boyfriends for Valentine's Day in Odisha college goes viral
One college is making headlines after it came up with the most bizarre circular. The instructions on the notice will leave you absolutely stunned and confused at the same time. A college located in Odisha made it mandatory for girls to have boyfriends by Valentine's Day. Within no time, the circular went viral. Later, it turned out that the circular was fake.
A notice deemed to have been released under SVM Autonomous College in Jagatsinghpur, Odisha, stated that all girls had to get boyfriends by Valentine's Day. It also said that only those girls with boyfriends would be allowed to enter the campus. Moreover, the female students were asked to prove their relationship status with a recent picture.
The circular with the signature of the school's principal went viral instantly only for people to realize that it was fake. However, that did not stop students and other netizens from commenting on the circular.
“We have all seen the viral notice. This does not seem real. Some bad elements have made a fake notice viral. This has maligned the name of our college. Our Principal is a good man and we don’t think he would have done such a thing," said a student named Rashmita Behera, according to India News.
Another stated, "The notice is not issued by me. e letterhead on which the viral notice has been printed is fake. It neither has the contact number of the college, nor the name in the correct order."
