Tonino Lamborghini, son of Ferruccio Lamborghini, the founder of luxury car company Lamborghini, is planning to invest heavily in Kerala. Tonino Lamborghini, founder and president of Italy-based ‘Tonino Lamborghini Group’, told ‘Mathrubhumi’ that he is considering investing in the areas of manufacturing and distribution of luxury products, hotels and super luxury residential complexes.

Tonino said that only after evaluating the projects, how much will be invested can be said. Tonino and his partner Angela Krieger came to Kerala to spend a holiday with their Malayali friend Usman Rahman. UAE businessman and ‘Tonino Lamborghini’ India-UAE Usman is also the brand ambassador.

In 1981, Tonino Lamborghini started to introduce luxury products. From watches, glasses, leather products to smart phones were introduced. The price of Tonino Lamborghini phones starts at Rs 1.75 lakh. Tonino’s family does not own the Lamborghini car company. Automobile Lamborghini is a luxury sports car company founded in 1963 by Tonino’s father, Ferruccio Lamborghini. He sold the company in 1973 due to difficulties. Now owned by the Audi-Volkswagen Group.
