BHAVANS IES ORGANIZED ORIENTATION PROGRAM FOR THE STUDENTS AND PARENTS OF GRADES 12 AND 10

Students were seen applauding when they were informed of the school’s decision to introduce a novel idea in the form of ‘Chat Sessions.’

Indian Educational School, Bhavans, Kuwait in its preparation to welcome the new batches of students for the session 2021-2022 organized an orientation program for the students and parents of grades 12 and 10 in the school virtual auditorium on the first and second of March 2021, respectively. The session was flagged off by Mr. T. Premkumar, Principal, IES, extending a congenial welcome to the parents and elaborating on academics with a special emphasis on the assessment of scholastic and co-scholastic domains during the online learning sessions induced by the global pandemic.

Mr. N.K. Ramachandran Menon who is the Chairman of Bhavans Middle East addressed the gathering. He urged the students to focus on academics and urged them not to hamper their academic zeal due to the restrictions imposed by the global pandemic. He advised the students to involve themselves in the learning process and leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of academic excellence.

Bhavans IES Organizes Meet the Expert- ‘Read-Lead-Succeed’

Ms. Anselma Tessy, Vice principal, Senior Wing, IES addressed the gathering. She informed the students and parents of the able teachers who would teach the students of grades 12 and 10 in the new academic year. Ms. Anselma Tessy also detailed the mode of assessments that the CBSE candidates must be aware of. She reminded the students of their responsibilities. Parents and teachers were also reminded of their duties. Students were seen applauding when they were informed of the school’s decision to introduce a novel idea in the form of ‘Chat Sessions.’ Chat sessions are tailored to kill boredom that may arise during the remote mode of learning and also to promote peer interactions taking into consideration of the adolescent psychological needs. In her presentation, Ms. Tessy categorically stated the rationale behind the orientation and made known her expectations of the new batches. She also stated the resolve of the organization to go to any extent to ensure that the students under its care get quality education. She made it clear that Bhavans had no intention to cut corners with its established standards. The heads of various departments provided subject specific information to the students.

In the ensuing interactive session, Mr. T. Premkumar, Principal, IES answered the queries of the parents, both academic and other concerns, reaffirming Bhavans’ commitment to the concept of providing quality education. The parents were convinced and highly appreciative of the efforts of IES in setting an inspiring example in the field of education, in the Middle East. The sessions concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Meenakshi Nayyar, Vice Principal, Middle Wing, IES.
