Bhavans IES gleams with glorious results in Sastra Pratibha Contest 2021

Bhavans Indian Education School, Kuwait proved itself once again to be one of the top-performing schools in Kuwait when the Science International Forum, Kuwait, announced the results of the 7th Edition of Sastra Pratibha Contest, on the National Science Day, February 28, 2021. Bhavans, IES, became the winner of the coveted ‘Acharya J.C. Bose Sastra Puraskar’ for the sixth time in succession.

Once again IES strongly emerged triumphant with 4 Sastra Pratibha title winners, 8 class toppers, and 36 outstanding performers. The ‘Sastra Pratibha’ title winners as well as the class toppers of their respective grades, Naiga Githin Das of 5J, Manha Anees Shina of 7C, Fida Ancy of 8B, and Nevin Noji Vaidyan of 9B will get a golden opportunity to interact with one of the top scientists in India and each of them will also receive a scholarship worth INR. 10,001 at the Annual Science Gala. The class toppers Vyas Balram of 4E, M. Jalaluddeen Akbar of 6E, Arathi Sudheer Nair of 6C, and Srihari Badrinarayanan of 10F will be honored at the Annual Science Gala along with the other outstanding performers.

The Sastra Pratibha Contest 2021 was conceptualized to identify the bright minds with scientific aptitude among the Indian students studying abroad. It was conducted through a ‘web-based app’ on Saturday, February 19, 2021 at 10 a.m. (KST). The contest was a one-hour objective type test based on the current curriculum, analytical and logical skills and general knowledge. The Indian students of grades 4 to 10 studying in Kuwait were eligible for the contest. A total of 233 passionate students from Bhavans IES, Kuwait, participated in the mega contest.

Mr. T Premkumar, Principal, IES, Kuwait, extolled the Department of Science and the winning team who placed IES on the crowning point of scientific excellence. Bhavan’s pursuit of perfection in molding young scientists has won praises from the parents and the well-wishers across the country.
