Bhavans IES Organizes Rahma-a Virtual Eid Celebration

The virtual event was wrapped up with the singing of the Indian National Anthem.

Bhavans Indian Education School, Kuwait, organized a virtual Eid celebration named ‘Rahma 2021’ under the aegis of the Department of Arabic, IES, on May 12, 2021, showcasing a plethora of activities for its students to celebrate the auspicious occasion.

The celebration commenced at 4:30 p.m. on a solemn note with the recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran. Jalaluddeen Akbar of 7C delivered a speech on ‘Gratitude’, thanking the Almighty for His blessings. Hamza Uthman of 4D rendered a song. A video presentation, made by Abdul Majeed of 8E, displayed the spectacular customs and noble traditions related to the holy month of Ramadan and Eid celebration. Abdullah Usman of 8E, enlightened everyone about the holy month of Ramadan and the reward of fasting through a video presentation. Manha Anees of 8C delivered a speech on the health benefits of fasting. Abdul Rahman delivered a speech to enable the students to integrate the values of Ramadan into their lives. The quiz on the history of Islam, conducted by Ms. Muneera Mammikutty, Head of the Department of English, Primary Wing, added the elements of interactivity and enthusiasm to the program. A melodious Eid song was rendered by Huda Sajjad of 8E, Mayjabin Hossain of 8E, Noura Abdul Qader of 6D and Syed Affan of 8B. Yusuf Shameem of 5F delivered a speech in Arabic on Eid. The virtual platform reverberated with the cheerful wishes of students of IES.

Mr. Ali Judian Al Rashidi, the sponsor of the school, extended warm wishes to Bhavanites on the blessed occasion of Eid through a video message. Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon, Chairman, Bhavans Middle East, also wished everyone health, wealth, and prosperity on the joyous occasion of Eid. Mr. T. Premkumar, Principal, IES, and the Vice Principals extended Eid greetings to all the attendees of the special event which marked the celebration of sharing, caring and togetherness. The virtual event was wrapped up with the singing of the Indian National Anthem. The program was coordinated by Ms. Rawia Lofty Ahmed Osman, Head of the Department, Arabic. The emcee for the day was Misba Kazim Parkar of 8B.
