Bhavans Middle East Celebrated Founder’s Day

On 16 September 2021 Private International English School (PIES) Abu Dhabi and Pearl Wisdom School, Dubai (PWS) two prominent schools of Bhavans Group in the Middle East conjointly celebrated their storied history – The Founder’s Day: celebrating another year of success and glory. The event titled SAFALTA (success) commemorated the glorious inception of Bhavans Middle East in September 2006 when the cornerstone of the first Branch was laid in Kuwait.

The event was graced by the Founder Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in the Middle East (BVB ME) Shri N.K Ramachandran Menon who virtually joined as the chief guest of the program. The day was furthermore brightened with a galaxy of eminent dignitaries - Vice Chairman, BVB ME, Mr. Sooraj Ramachandran, the Director Mrs. Divya Rajesh Ramachandran, Principal Mrs. Girija Baiju, other Principals of Bhavans Schools in the Middle East, Vice principal Mr. Suresh Balakrishnan and Vice principal (PWS) Mrs. Jaemy Baiju. To mark the auspicious beginning and to propitiate grace from the above, the programme commenced by invoking the blessings of the Almighty.

Vice Principal, PIES, Mr. Suresh Balakrishnan addressed the crowd with a hearty welcome. It was followed by the traditional lamp lighting ceremony by the esteemed guests. Proclaiming the thought that dance is the hidden language of the soul, the teachers of PWS Dubai gave the audience a visual treat by their mesmerizing welcome dance.

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” The master who conquered this, the backbone of the team, the Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan – Middle East, Sri N.K Ramachandran Menon addressed the august gathering with his words of blessings.

Bhartiya Vidya Bhavans Middle East continues to scale the zenith of excellence with the guidance and support of the Vice Chairman, Mr. Sooraj Ramachandran who took the audience on a glorious journey of Bhavans from the days of its inception recollecting its achievements which have placed it amongst the pantheons of centers of excellence. Mr. Sooraj also mentioned about how the school has been overcoming every obstacle with grit and determination.

The Director, Mrs. Divya Rajesh Ramachandran addressed the gathering cherishing how the Bhavans family has held hand to hand and encouraged everyone to adapt to changes. Ms. Divya enlightened everyone about how our life is our story and how we write its chapters. The joy of the event was then multiplied by the Principal, Mrs. Girija Baiju, who went emotional when she spoke about the beauty of Bhavans as a family and how with every passing day, the school is conquering greater heights.

Mrs. Jaemy Baiju, Vice Pincipal PWS, Dubai reflected about the splendid voyage of Bhavans and spoke highly of the wonders created by the Bhavanites under the guidance of such knowledgeable leaders. She grew quite loud and touching when she narrated her making herself into the Vice Principal of a school of Bhavans.

BHAVANS KUWAIT VIRTUALLY CELEBRATES ITS 16TH FOUNDER’S DAY

“What you aim at determines what you see.” Standing a testimony to this thought, Mrs. Vanitha Walter, Headmistress, Primary Section, PIES, a truly zestful teacher spoke passionately about her blessed journey in Bhavans and how the institution has been her strong source of support. Mr. Ajmal, representing the parent community expressed his gratitude for the persistent hard work of the Bhavan Team and congratulated the school on procuring yet another feather on the cap. Bhavans as a canvas receives its colorful strokes of vibrance and love through its students. To convey their sincere thanks and affection towards the institution, the Head Boy Master Nitant spoke on his wonderful journey with school.


PIES is a progressive school where learning is not limited to classrooms. This day was apt to appreciate the dedicated and committed contributions of the members of staff who have completed five and ten years of their glorious service in this esteemed organization. The teachers were honoured online for their invaluable contributions towards the institution. PIES holds more than 70 members of staff who have been with us for more than 5 years.

No event is complete without the creative team putting forth a vibrant visual feast for the lovely audience. The cultural program SAFALTA depicted the beautiful story of our epic, the Ramayana which took the audience on a dramatic journey of success brimmed with hope, courage, mystery, love, and faith. This confluence of art, music and dance, a marvelous portrayal of the course of life to success left everyone in awe and admiration. Ms. Janarajani the event coordinator and HoD of Fine Arts, the talented children who played various roles in the ballet and their parents were congratulated by the principal on their spellbinding commitment and mindboggling talents.

The program culminated with the Vote of thanks presented by Miss Nandana, the Head Girl, Student Council. The closing was then marked by playing the Indian National Anthem, paying deepest gratitude to our motherland. The hosts and hundreds of online viewers then thanked the wonderful audience for leading this event to Safalta.
