FAIPS (DPS) CELEBRATES 26 YEARS OF PATH BREAKING EXCELLENCE

As the world adapts itself to the new normal post-Covid -19 and the virtual platform replacing live events, FAIPS (DPS) hosted Founders Day on Saturday, 11th September 2021 on Teams platform to mark the 26 years of its glorious presence. The event was organized and presented by the students of the Deputy Student council. The Chief guest for the programme was His Excellency Mr. Sibi George, Ambassador of India to Kuwait, who graciously sent his best wishes in a recorded video message. Mr. Arun Choudhary, CFO, Al Rayan Holding Company was the Guest of Honour.

The program began with the recital of the Holy Quran and its translation followed by Tahe-El-Kuwait and the Kuwait National Anthem. The Principal, Mr. Ravi Ayanoli led the School prayer and launched the second edition of FAIPS Panorama magazine. The Senior teachers reminisced their long association with the school as they shared their progression over these 26 years. From its humble beginning way back in 1995, the school has carved a niche as one of the premier Indian institutions in Kuwait.

The audience was treated to a medley of items starting with a melodious song ‘Mumkin Hai by the singers of Grade 11. After the mellifluous song, the synchronized dance steps, choreographed and presented by the students held the audience spellbound. An English Skit on “Life at school post and pre-covid” written and directed by the students focused on the changes in students’ behaviour due to the restrictions imposed on health grounds. Another item that kept the audience enthralled was an artistic and colourful construction of the school building and the playground from the deft strokes of a student’s paint brush highlighting minute details. A short virtual tour of the school was both evocative and refreshing to see. A compilation of FAIPS achievements in academics and extra –curricular activities in 2020-21 followed by students’ views on how the school has transformed them was appreciated by everyone. '

The Ambassador in his message inspired everyone to look at the pandemic as a path to new opportunities and not as a crisis. He also expressed his gratitude towards all the front-line workers and the Government for their tireless efforts in these times. He encouraged the students to participate in various competitions organized by the Embassy of India and other Associations.

Mr. Arun Choudhary congratulated the students for excelling in academics and in extracurricular activities. He appreciated the students for not giving up during the difficult period. The Principal, Mr. Ravi Ayanoli in his speech traced the humble beginnings of the school to what it is today. He thanked the visionary founders, Dr. (Mrs) Shyama Chona and Ms. Monia Al Nouri as well as the present management team led by Ms. Lana Othman Al Ayyar, CEO, Al-Rayan Holding Co., for their vision and dedicated support in running the school. He then went on to explain the expansion of the campus. The Principal reiterated the traditional aspects of schooling, producing amazing results in board exams, organizing international educational trips and excelling in sports and other extracurricular activities. Vice-Principal, Ms. Vineeta Munshi concluded the event with a vote of thanks. She thanked all the dignitaries, the

teachers and the technical support who helped organize this event. The program came to an end with the school song followed by the Indian national anthem.
