On 9 December 2021 Private International English School, Abu Dhabi celebrated its Annual Day reminiscing another year of hard work and achievements, at the auditorium with a few guests while others graced the occasion joining online. The event titled Navarasa – Colours of Life left the audience in awe and admiration as they embarked on a journey to paint their canvas in all its glory.

The event was graced by the Founder and Chairman, Bhavans Middle East, Shri N.K Ramachandran Menon who virtually blessed all with his presence. The day was furthermore brightened with a galaxy of eminent dignitaries - Vice Chairman Mr. Sooraj Ramachandran, the Director Mrs. Divya Rajesh Ramachandran, Principal Mrs. Girija Baiju,and Vice principal Mr. Suresh Balakrishnan.To mark the auspicious beginningand to propitiate grace from the above, the programme was commenced by invoking the blessings of the Almighty.

Vice Principal,PIES, Mr.Suresh Balakrishnan addressed the crowd with a hearty welcome; followed by the traditional lamp lighting ceremony by the esteemed guests. “Dance is the hidden language of the soul.” With this beautiful thought, the ardent students of PIES gave the audience a visual treat by their mesmerizing welcome dance.

Bhavans, Abu Dhabi is a progressive school where learning is not limited to the classroom. To appreciate the diligence and commitments put forth by the Bhavans Family, Respected Principal Smt. Girija Baiju, a heart filled with aspirations, proudly presented the Annual Report of the year 2021-2022.

“A dream becomes a goal when action is taken towards its achievement.” Grade X and XII toppers were felicitated in order to appreciate and honour their achievements that lead the school towards another stepping stone to reach soaring heights.

Breaking away from tradition, this Annual Day, Bhavans Abu Dhabi introduced Teen Talk Experiences or TeTX 2021. The talk covered relevant and pertinent matters of interest to children, parents, and the school. This platform was provided by the school to the ignited minds to enable their voice to be heard. On this day, four guest speakers from Grade 11 Miss. Hiza Razik of 11 A, Master Kush Rakeshkumar Shah of 11C, Eldho Jose Attoor of 11 C and Miss Mirra Swaminathan of 11 D addressed the inquisitive audience with their mind-boggling thoughts.

School magazine reflects the identity of an educational institution and is the integral part of the education system. It provides a wonderful platform for many budding talents. On this auspicious occasion, Bhavans Abu Dhabi released its magazine- Bhavana 2021.

“Coming together is a Beginning, Keeping together is Progress, Working together is Success.” The torchbearer who leads the school towards its triumph, the chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan – Middle East, Sri N.K Ramachandran Menon addressed the gathering with his intellectual ingenuity.

Bhartiya Vidya Bhavans Middle East continues to scale the zenith of excellence with the guidance and support of the Vice Chairman, Mr. Sooraj Ramachandran who enlightened the audience with his pensive words and the journey of Bhavans to its present-day place amongst the pantheons of centres of excellence.

The bounteous guidance by the enthusiastic director has always led Bhavans to cross every path seamlessly. The Director, Mrs. Divya Rajesh Ramachandran spoke passionately about rich Indian heritage. The astounding zeal and motivating words truly inspired the audience.

Subject credit system, a unique aspect of Bhavans internal assessment focuses on enabling the children of grades 6-8 to attain a lot of exposure in the field of research and presentation on varied topics of their interest. Master Navneeth Ranjeeth of 7E shared his experience of being a part of this futuristic idea.

Annual Day is incomplete without the creative team putting forth a vibrant visual feast for the lovely audience. The cultural program Navrasa- Colours of Life depicted the beautiful story of nine emotions of human feelings. The vivid colours of life- the essence of human communication that cultivates greater awareness and control of one’s emotions was portrayed through distinguished performances. The dance and drama by the students exquisitely channeled the message to embrace life and to enjoy the roller coaster in every situation.

The program culminated with the vote of thanks presented by Ms. Sumitha Shaiju, HoD, English, Primary Section. The closing was then marked by playing the Indian National Anthem, paying deepest gratitude to our motherland. The hosts, Master. Rishon Santhosh of 9 D, Miss. Sadambari Gopan of 7A, Master. Abhinav Kurup of 7D and Miss. Anam Perwaiz of 6A then thanked the team and the wonderful audience for finessing this event with flying colours.
