LEMONADE DAY CELEBRATION AT IES KUWAIT

“It’s not what happens to you, but how you handle it that matters. If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. If the lemons are rotten, take out the seeds and plant them and grow new lemons.”

The celebrations and activities at Indian Educational School, Kuwait, are directed towards preparing our young minds to face life and be successful in each stage of life.

Keeping this in mind, the kindergarten wing of IES celebrated ‘Lemonade Day' on May 19, 2022. The kids came bubbling with excitement for yet another celebration. Their beaming smiles radiated happiness all around.

Children came dressed in bright yellow attires and spread the brightness throughout the school premises. Our little ones made their own tasty lemonades. With great fervor and enthusiasm, our little ones squeezed the lemons, made tangy refreshing lemonades under the supervision of their teachers and happily shared them with their aunties in the kindergarten. The contagious smiles that spread across their faces while tasting the results of their own hardwork, was something to treasure.

Through this activity, we were able to introduce very important life skills, the value of sharing and also help our tiny tots experience the joy of giving. The teachers briefly explained to them the various health benefits of lemon. That was not all, the children participated in various fun activities as well. KG 1 kids made collage with lemon printouts and KG 2 kids made lemonade glass with craft paper and paint.

Through these activities and fun filled events conducted at school, we aim to make our children active participants in the classroom so that they become independent and confident learners.

Every weekend at IES is a celebration of learning for our little ones!
