IES Solemnizes the Prestigious Award Nite 2022

The prestigious event started with a few verses from the Holy Quran recited by Hibah Khaleelullah of grade 10 followed by the Kuwait National Anthem.

The reputation of an institution spreads across the world through the excellent performance of its prodigies. On September 1, 2022, Indian Education school, Bhavans, Kuwait, crowned the outstanding efforts of the dazzling stars who raised the fame of the institution to the boundless sky of success in a befitting ceremony ‘Award Nite’.

The auspicious occasion was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Bhargav Chandran, an alumnus of IES batch of 2018, Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon, Chairman, Bhavans Middle East, Mr. T. Premkumar, Principal of IES, Mr. Mahesh. P. Iyer, Principal of SIS, Ms. Albin Daisy, Vice-Principal of SIS, Ms. Meenakshi Nayyar and Mr. Binoy Mathew, Vice-Principals of IES, Ms. Muneera Mammikutty, Headmistress, the esteemed award winners and their parents, the heads of various departments, coordinators and the teachers of the institution.

The prestigious event started with a few verses from the Holy Quran recited by Hibah Khaleelullah of grade 10 followed by the Kuwait National Anthem. The soulful rendition of the prayer song by the school choir was followed by the Bhavan’s anthem. The ceremonial lamp was conjointly lit by the Chief Guest, Mr. Bhargav Chandran, Mr. N.K. Ramachandran Menon, Mr. T. Premkumar and Mr. Mahesh P. Iyer, Ms. Meenakshi Nayyar. The blessed gathering was welcomed by Zara Imtiyas Mahadiwala, the Vice-President of the student parliament. To invoke the blessings of the Almighty, the dance teacher of IES, Ms. Shakhila P.K. performed a dazzling dance to the divine music.

Ms. Meenakshi Nayyar, Vice Principal of IES introduced the Chief Guest to the audience with much pride and honor. Mr. Bhargav Chandran is an acclaimed dancer and has choreographed 3 Kannada films and won the SIMA award recently for one of the films. Mr. Bhargav Chandran, addressed the gathering with his thought-provoking reflections on life. He emphasized the importance of dreaming high; working hard to achieve it and living life to satiety. The proud alumnus expressed his gratitude to Bhavans for what he has become today. He also shared his joy, excitement, and gratitude for having been chosen to grace a function at his alma mater. A memento was extended to the Chief Guest by the Chairman as a token of love and appreciation.

The Chief Guest conferred the students with accolades in the presence of the other esteemed dignitaries. The ‘School Toppers’ and the ‘Centum scorers’ in all the streams of grade 12 and the School Toppers and Centum Scorers of grade10 in the CBSE Examination 2021-2022, were honored and awarded with mementoes in the presence of their parents. The brilliant stars and stellar performers of IES – 27 Proficiency Winners from grades 1 to 4, 58 All Rounders from grades 1 to 11 and 19 Scholar badges from grades 5 to 7 were adorned with medallions and badges amidst thunderous applause.

To add the flavour of festivity to the august gathering, the incredibly talented student of Bhavans, Keerthana Girish of 12 F presented a scintillating dance performance. The emcees for the day were Ms. Pushpalatha Balasubramanian and Ms. Aliuska Lawrence, Faculty of English. The vote of thanks was proposed by Laksha Anilbhai Sangtani, the Vice-President of the student parliament of IES. The sterling evening ended with the singing of the Indian National Anthem.
