Bhavans SIS & JnJ KG Field Trip

Memories of school educational trips are among the prominent of the formative years, largely because they are a welcome break in the routine for both students and teachers. While a day in the classroom has its benefits, there are many advantages of getting children out of their typical settings and experiencing new environments. A field trip can spark intense student interest as well as nurture thinking skills. Keeping this in mind Bhavans Smart Indian school and Jack and Jill Pre-school, Kuwait arranged a field trip for the KG1 and KG2 children.  

The field trip of KG1 children was organized in connection with the theme of the month i.e., “Fruits and Vegetables”. The children visited the local market and were introduced to the huge variety of fruits and vegetables and were explained the importance of having vegetables and fruits in their diet by the teachers. The visit to the local market helped the children to understand the concepts clearly by making connections to real-life situations.  

Whereas the children of KG2 as part of their theme i.e., “Animals and Birds” were taken to “The Little Jungle Zoo. All the students boarded the school bus with excitement and were overjoyed with the thought of exploring the zoo with their dear friends. They were awestruck by the different types of animals they saw in the zoo. The teachers explained to them about the animals, their food habits, and about the various features which make them different from each other, and how these animals are fed and taken care of by the zoo keepers. 

Back in school the tiny tots of KG1 and KG2 children created beautiful drawings and some children even shared their thoughts about their memorable trip. One of the greatest benefits of a field trip is creating experiences that students will remember and talk about into adulthood. Indeed, the children enjoyed it a lot and had a memorable day to cherish for a  lifetime.
