Al SAAD INDIAN SCHOOL, AL AIN ORGANIZED A VIBRANT SPORTS MEET FOR ITS PARENTS & STAFF
Al Saad Indian School, Al Ain, once again blazed a trail in the field of engaging and entertaining its parents and staff by conducting BHAVANS SPORTIVO 2023- A platform for the parents and the staff to showcase their talent and sportsman spirit-on January 21, 2023. The school ground was filled with steadily mounting excitement and unbridled enthusiasm when the event unfurled at 4.30 p.m. The sporting event organized under the aegis of the Physical Education Department witnessed a high turnout of parents and staff who were eager enough to participate in the various events like Chess, Carrom, Badminton, Football and Basketball Free throws.
The teacher choir along with the parent representatives sang the UAE National Anthem which was followed by Prayer song and Bhavans Anthem. Dr. Lizna Muhammed Ali, the parent representative welcomed the gathering. In her inaugural address, Dr. Bhavna Gupta, Principal of Al Saad Indian School eulogized the parents who have paved the way for their children to learn from them and prove their mettle in the field of sports by participating enthusiastically. She also emphasized that children learn best by example and participation of parents proved to be befitting example for the children to participate in sports activities in and out of the school. Vice Principal, Mr. Thomas Francis, conveyed his best wishes to parents and added that the participation of parents will boost morale of their children and they will be enthused to participate in different sports activities.
Mr. Vinod, HoD of the Physical Education Department briefed the parents about the various competitions and its venues. The staff under the guidance of the PE instructor efficiently handled the whole event, right from giving out instructions, coaching the parents and judging the matches. It was indeed quite heart-warming to see the 18 participants of the Chess competition playing their moves like stalwarts with rapt concentration and collected demeanour. 30 highly enthusiastic parents were all geared up to beat their opponents in the nail-biting Carroms competition. The standard of Badminton Tournament was high with the participation of 32 parents who competed fiercely giving a great account of themselves. Over 30 parents had their turn at shooting 3 foul shots from a designated foul line, hoping to come out victorious. The two teams comprising of 26 players played the football match with great attitude and this was evident as the players shook hands at the end.
The parents enthusiastically participated in all the games and appreciated the school for conducting such events where the parents are involved and are given opportunities to relive their own school days. They were also of the view that the meet was an amazing platform to showcase their talents and to strengthen Parent-Teacher-Student bond. Principal along with the Vice Principal awarded the winners with trophies and certificates. Bhavans Al Ain strongly believes that this gala event redolent with grandeur and glory will remain etched in the memories of all those who witnessed it.
