BHAVANS SERVICE SCHEME SELECTION 2023-24
The education maxim of Indian Education School, Bhavans Kuwait is primarily based on the philosophy that every child is unique in nature with varying needs. At IES we promote wholesome education by fostering a conducive environment full of love, care, motivation and creativity. We instil in our children a desire to learn with emphasis on their social, emotional, physical, aesthetic, intellectual and developmental aspects.
Bhavans Service Scheme (BSS) is one of the many Bhavans initiatives towards ensuring holistic development of children. The scheme was introduced in Indian Education School, Bhavans Kuwait in the year 2015 with a vision to equip the children with the strength to face challenges in life and to help them nurture a positive attitude towards service and sacrifice. BSS aims to enhance character, comradeship, discipline, leadership skills, and the ideals for rendering selfless service to society and fellow students.
A few of the special activities conducted by BSS are:
NCC March-past & Drill Classes
Compulsory training in swimming (Life -saving techniques),
Self-defence training sessions (Karate classes).
Fire safety and firefighting training session.
Safety & First aid training courses.
Stay-in Camp in/outside the school campus.
Sessions on Social Service & Value Education.
The selection for 2023-24 batch of BSS was held on April 5, 2023. More than 50 cadets got selected to the new batch. They received their official letter from the Principal, Mr. T. Premkumar. The program was organized by the physical Education department of IES under the able leadership of the BSS coordinator, Dr. Murugaiyan.
