The most auspicious event of this joyous celebration was, ‘HEBA’, Unconditional Gift: IES Charity Drive. The charity drive was held in the school during the last week of Ramadan with the objective of inspiring children to give back to society. Students contributed generously towards this magnanimous cause. Grocery kits with contributions received were made and distributed among the support staff members by the Chairman, Mr. N.K. Ramachandran Menon and Principal, Mr. T. Premkumar during Barakah. Apart from this, Ms. Ammaji Geddada and her students of Grade 3B, contributed towards the medical treatment of Ms. Shoma, one of our support staff members. The fund was raised by the students for a noble cause.

The principal in his address extolled the ethical virtues of the blessed festival and asked the children to imbibe the values of patience, modesty, and spirituality. He congratulated the members of the Islamic department, Mr. Jamal and Ms. Shaima for organizing an excellent program. He thanked the Arabic department, Art teacher and Music teacher for collaborating with the organizers and extended everyone Eid greetings.

All the students irrespective of religion, language, or ethnicity participated whole heartedly in the celebration. The festivity promoted a feeling of co-operation, collaboration and team work. Barakah lent a distinctive festive atmosphere exuberantly filled with irrepressible positive feeling and gusto. Thus, the holistic, secular education envisaged by our Chairman, Mr. N.K.
