The program aimed to integrate oral hygiene into the teaching-learning process and create awareness about oral health to enable prevention of dental diseases.
The oral hygiene program was conducted for a day, with different sessions for different age groups. The doctors used a range of teaching aids, including videos, posters, and models, to explain the importance of oral hygiene, common dental problems and their prevention. The students were taught the correct brushing technique, flossing, and tongue cleaning, and the importance of regular dental checkups. The program also addressed the importance of a healthy diet for good oral hygiene.
The oral hygiene program was well-received by the students and teachers alike. The practical exercises helped the students put theory into practice and improve their confidence.
