IES Bhavans, Kuwait Emerges Victorious in SCIENTIA 2023, Showcasing Academic Excellence

Indian Education School Bhavans,is renowned and lionized for the stupendous performances of young Bhavanites in curricular and co-curricular activities.The students of Bhavans IES, zestfully participated in SCIENTIA 2023, an Inter School Science Fair for Indian Students, organized by KALA Kuwait in association with BALAVEDI Kuwait and brought home laurels, winning the overall championship. The event was held at Carmel School, Khaitan on April 28, 2023. The objective of the event was to kindle the interest of the youngsters in various subjects such as Mathematics, Social Science, Information Technology, and Practical Work Experience.

The students of IES have proven their mettle by surpassing their peers in their expertise in these areas, as evidenced by the numerous prizes and shields they bagged. The competition was segmented into sub-junior, junior, and senior categories and had participants from 26 Indian schools in Kuwait. The work exhibited by IES students highlighted their excellent overall development, showcasing the high spectrum of scientific and practical skills that they obtain at IES.

Dr Adarsh Swaika, the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, who was the Chief Guest of the event, applauded KALA Kuwait for organizing such an event to promote experiential learning. He also complimented the Government of India for its whole-hearted attempt to impart science-based practical education. The guest of honour, Dr Habibah Saud Al- Menaie, Senior Research Scientist of Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, also praised the initiative.

The event was attended by approximately 1600 students from 26 schools, and Bhavans Kuwait emerged as the undisputed champions, winning over 50 prizes. The various science exhibitions and science drama at the event further ignited the spirit of the contestants. The impressive achievement of IES students in SCIENTIA 2023 is evidenced by the first-place finishes in various categories. Emmanuel Binoy of Grade 1 won the top prize in Work Experience, while Nivisha Roberts, Govind Murali, and Ashwin Sajan Pillai of Grades 4, 10, and 12 respectively, won the General Quiz. In addition, Fida Ancy won the Science Fair Research Type Project the Senior category.

Mr N K Ramachandran Menon, the Chairman of the Bhavans Middle East, and Mr T Premkumar, the Principal of IES, congratulated the contestants for their meritorious performance and victory. The organization of participants was well-coordinated by Mr Anilkumar Shanmughan and Ms Anjali Nair, faculty members of the English and Computer Sciences departments, respectively.

Once again, IES Bhavans in Kuwait has proven its dedication to providing exceptional education and opportunities to its students. The school's resounding success in SCIENTIA 2023 is a testament to its unwavering commitment to academic excellence.
