Webinar for Bhavans-BIS parents: Exciting Means of Spending Summer Vacation

As summer vacations are round the corner, it is imperative that the students should use the time judiciously , efficiently and effectively so as to enhance themselves. At the same time when the parents think about the choice of activities that the students can be engaged in, the list seems limited. In order to utilize summer vacation in the most productive manner, a webinar was delivered for students and parents on the topic "Getting the Best Out of Your Summer Holidays"  by Dr. Bhavna Gupta , Principal, Al Saad Indian School, Al- Ain, UAE.

Dr Bhavna shared that summer vacation is the time not only to relax but also to build family bonds, indulge in understanding concepts and improving on subjects where the child needs to improve. Additionally, she also shared that the students can learn new instruments, new hobby, engage themselves in physical activities thereby keeping themselves fit . Further, students can learn new sport, new art, contribute in saving earth by getting involved in activities such as gardening, vermi compositing, planting, making best out of waste, reading books, joining club activities, enhancing writing skills and writing speed, reading the curriculum related chapters, join non academic classes, teaching students who are learners on the way,  and indulge in volunteer services. 

She guided the higher secondary students to research about career fields, colleges , scholarships and prepare conference papers.  She talked about various volunteering opportunities through which students can contribute to society.
