THE WORLD SCHOLAR’S CUP DOHA GLOBAL ROUND

The World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) is an international academic competition that attracts thousands of students from many countries around the world.

Bhavans- Bahrain Indian School students did incredibly well for their first ever appearance in the World Scholar’s Cup Global round competition 2023. ”It is the result of preparation, hard work and learning from past experiences in various competitions” said School Director Mr. Himanshu Verma while congratulating the students for their achievements.

The World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) is an international academic competition that attracts thousands of students from many countries around the world. The weeklong “Doha Global Round 2023” was attended by a staggering number of 1800 students, 156 schools across the globe from 30 countries. The students of The Bahrain Indian School, have yet again brought accolades and recognition to the school in an extraordinary performance at the Global Doha Round 2023 of the World Scholar's Cup. It was raining medals for contestants from The Bahrain Indian School. A whopping more than 100 medals (4 trophies, 53 gold medals & 53 silver medals) were won as individual participants as well as teams in the Junior and seniors divisions which ranged from the Scholar Challenge and Scholar Bowl to Collaborative Writing and Team Debate.

In the Junior and seniors Categories, five teams from BIS consisting of 3 members each, participated in the grand event. The 15 delegates of BIS nailed the event and made their mark amongst the 850 teams. All the five teams of The Bahrain Indian School, have advanced to the International Championship Tournament at Yale University, USA.

“We wish our young delegates good luck for being chosen as one of the best to represent the ToC in Yale, November 2023”, said Ritu Verma, Director.


“The scholars of BIS will continue to work hard and learn, both within and outside of our curriculum. Their outstanding performance has made us and the parents very proud. We applaud their commitment and brilliance – their win should serve as a motivation and inspiration for all students to work even harder in their studies to achieve greater success,” said Mr. Saji Jacob, Principal.
