Glimpses of Grace and Gratitude: Teachers' Day Celebration 2023-24
In a grand display of appreciation and respect, the Student Council members of the year 2023-24 organized a heartwarming Teachers' Day celebration at Al Saad Indian School, Al Ain on September 5, 2023. The event was a perfect blend of reverence, entertainment, and heartfelt moments that left an indelible mark on both teachers and students alike. The special assembly commenced with a soul-soothing Quran recitation by Mohammed Aflah of Grade 11. This was followed by a harmonious rendition of the UAE National Anthem and a prayer song by the school choir, setting a serene and respectful tone for the day's festivities.
The emcees, with their warm and affable demeanor, extended a heartfelt welcome to the revered teaching community, ushering in an atmosphere of camaraderie and gratitude. One of the standout highlights of the day was the remarkable mash-up dance performances by students from grades 7, 9, and 11, which was their dedicated to their beloved teachers. The dedication and enthusiasm of the students shone through in every move, leaving the audience spellbound. However, excitement reached its pinnacle when the teachers paired up with students, who had transformed themselves into replicas of their educators, came with the fashion show. The stage was graced with these unique duos as they confidently strutted down the runway. The students were visibly thrilled to witness their teachers embracing this playful and light-hearted moment with their friends.
Amidst all the fun and festivities, some engaging games added an element of competition and amusement. Games such as ‘breaking the cup pyramid’ and ‘arranging cups in 30 seconds like a pyramid’ were organized by the council members for the teachers. To everyone's delight, the school Principal, Vice Principal, and other teachers actively participated, bringing a dose of laughter and camaraderie to the occasion. As the event reached its crescendo, the council members gathered on stage, with the Head Girl, Fathima Narmin, eloquently delivering a heartfelt thank-you note on behalf of the entire student body. It was a poignant moment that underscored the depth of gratitude and respect the students held for their teachers.
Principal, Dr. Bhavna Gupta, in her keynote address, extended warm wishes to the teachers on this special occasion. She emphasized the importance of self-belief among students, encouraging them to strive for excellence in the years ahead. Vice Principal, Mr. Thomas Francis, in his speech, shed light on the significance of Teachers' Day and shared a touching anecdote about the Vice President of India, Sri. Jagdeep Dhankar, who recently visited his own teacher, Ms. Ratna Nair, to express his respect. This story served as a powerful reminder to keep teachers in our hearts with due respect and reverence.
