PIES (Bhavans) Abu Dhabi Celebrated Founder’s Day
The 13th Founder’s Day of Bhavans Private International English School, Abu Dhabi was celebrated with scintillating festivities on September 1, 2023 on the school premises, etching a significant milestone in the school's history. This occasion not only glorified the establishment of Bhavans Abu Dhabi but also marked the diamond jubilee of the matchless life of the chairman and founder of Bhavans Middle East, Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon. The event was aptly themed "Samarpanam," commemorating the transforming contributions of Mr. Ramachandran Menon in the field of education for the Indian diaspora in the Middle East.
Chairman Mr. Menon, accompanied by his wife Mrs. Sudha Ramachandran, Vice Chairman of Bhavans Middle East Mr. Sooraj Ramachandran, and the Director, Mrs. Divya Rajesh Ramachandran, was given a ceremonious guard of honour by the Student Council. The traditional Chenda melam of Kerala resonated through the air, setting a tone of grandeur proclaiming the ingrained hospitality that enriched the school environment.
The program commenced with the rendition of the UAE national anthem by the school choir, followed by a Quran recitation, a prayer song, and the Bhavans anthem. The welcome dance by teachers, a captivating fusion of Sri Lankan and Bharatanatyam dance forms, enthralled the audience with its cultural richness and artistic grace.


















Master Sarfaraz Binushkhan, the Head Boy, delivered the welcome address. Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon was befittingly conferred with the ponnada. Shradha Manimoole of grade 11 and her family gifted him with his portrait in pencil sketch. Mr. Suresh Balakrishnan, the school's Principal, then took the stage to address the gathering, emphasizing the school's remarkable contributions to education and the resultant accomplishments. Vice Chairman Sooraj Ramachandran shed light on the innovative initiatives driven by the school under the visionary leadership in his keynote address. Director Mrs. Divya Rajesh Ramachandran underscored the commitment and the accountability of the teaching community and the trust and confidence that the parent community have invested in Bhavans as the catalyst behind the success of Bhavans in the Middle East.
Representing the parent, the teacher, and the student communities, Mr. and Mrs. Sunil Bhatia, Ms. Arifa, and Miss. Mythili Rajesh felicitated the founder respectively and expressed their gratitude for the school's remarkable journey. Staff members who had dedicated five and ten years of continuous and glorious service to the school were recognized and honoured for their commitment and dedication. A melodious fusion song, performed by the teachers, paid a heartfelt tribute to the occasion, touching the hearts of everyone in attendance.
The highlight of the event was a mesmerizing dance drama titled "Samarpanam," dedicated to the visionary Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon, and it left the audience spellbound and deeply moved with its artistic excellence, professional exuberance, and thematic value. The vote of thanks was proposed by Head Girl Ms.Hazra Abid. The event concluded with the rendition of the Indian National Anthem, symbolizing unity, and pride.
