Indian Education School, Bhavans Kuwait conducted CBSE Reading Week from 8th September 2023 to 14th September 2023. The elaborate occasion was orchestrated under the guidance of CBSE to mark International Literacy Day and foster a love for reading among students. A plethora of captivating activities unfolded during that eventful week.

During the morning assembly, Mr. T. Premkumar, Principal, IES, emphasized the significance of honing one's reading abilities and highlighted that every initiative undertaken by the CBSE serves a purpose. He specifically outlined that the reading challenge aims to cultivate a reading habit and earnestly encouraged the students to participate in the various activities actively.

This comprehensive spectrum of activities allowed students to unlock their creative potential and foster a profound love for reading. Students from Grades 5 to 10 enthusiastically embraced a diverse range of activities within their respective classes. Grade 5 students embarked on a 'Read-a-Thon'. Grade 6 delved into the world of fine arts by integrating it with literature, crafting drawings inspired by stories or poems, while Grade 7 engaged in captivating 'Round Robin Storytelling' sessions. Grade 8 students engaged in the journey of "Creating Posters Based on Poems". Grade 9 students ventured into "Designing Story Maps", and students in Grades 9 and 10 jointly explored the exciting realm of "Creating Audio Stories." These activities, tailored to each grade level, served as catalysts for nurturing students' reading prowess and sparking their creativity.

The culmination of the 2023 Reading Week Celebration at IES saw a call to action for Bhavanites to spread their literary wings and soar across the expansive garden of language and literature. The management extended their commendations to the English Department for orchestrating many imaginative and engaging activities that enriched the students' experience during the CBSE Reading Week.
