NCB to file charge-sheet in Sushant Singh case today, Rhea likely to be named

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) will file its charge-sheet in the Sushant Singh Rajput drugs case on Friday. Mumbai NCB chief Sameer Wankhede will submit the charge-sheet, according to reports.

More than 30 persons, including actress Rhea Chakraborty have been named in the charge-sheet, according to reports. The NCB had arrested Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and his brother Showik Chakraborty in connection with the case besides several other persons including drug peddlers last year. Rhea and Showik are currently out on bail.

Sushant was found dead in his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020. The NCB also got involved in the probe that extended into investigating drug abuse in Bollywood. The NCB also questioned several celebrities, including Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Rakul Preet Singh, Deepika's manager Karishma Prakash and others in connection with the case.

The CBI and ED are also investigating the actor's death.
