Originally planned to have a wedding with Nayanthara in Tirupati: Vignesh

Filmmaker Vignesh Shivn and actor Nayanthara will marry on Thursday in a close-knit ceremony in a resort in Chennai. In a media interaction on Tuesday, Vignesh Shivan revealed that they had originally planned for the wedding to take place in Tirupati. However, the plan was cancelled after much deliberation due to logistical issues.

After dating each other for close to seven years, the couple is all set to tie the knot in an intimate ceremony. The couple started dating each other when they worked together on Vignesh's second directorial, Naanum Rowdydhaan. The film, which was a box-office hit, also featured Vijay Sethupathi.

“We had originally planned to get married in Tirupati. We were even ready to make arrangements, but we felt it won’t work out logistically. Therefore, we decided to have it in Chennai. It’s a close-knit ceremony with family members and close friends,” Vignesh said.

Last year, Nayanthara confirmed that she is engaged to her partner Vignesh Shivan on regional television. As part of the promotion of her film Netrikann, Nayanthara revealed her relationship status. During the show, Nayanthara confirmed that she was engaged to Vignesh Shivn.
