Actor Sunil Shende passes away at 75
Veteran Marathi actor Sunil Shende passed away today (November 14) at his home in Mumbai. He was 75 and is survived by his wife Jyoti and two sons Omkar and Rishikesh. Sunil’s last rites were held at Parsiwada Hindu Crematorium, Mumbai at 1 pm.
Twitter user Pavan Jha shared news about Sunil Shende’s demise on Twitter, with a couple of pictures of the late actor. He tweeted, “Noted Hindi & Marathi character actor Sunil Shende passed away yday. #RIP He started with a miniscule role in Gandhi-82 & went on to do some small, some significant roles in Hindi Cinema of 80s & 90s. He played @iamsrk 's Babuji, d Circus owner in Circus (TV-DD) @SukanyaVerma.”
Ever since the news came out, several netizens mourned his death on social media. For the unversed, Sunil Shende had acted in several Hindi and Marathi films such as Vaastav, Sarfarosh, Gandhi, Aai, Jodidar, Nidaan, Jamla Ho Jamla and so on.
Sunil Shende was also part of Shah Rukh Khan’s popular show Circus. He had also acted in TV shows such as Shanti, Chehra, Pehla Pyar and so on.
Sunil Shende’s demise is indeed a big loss for Indian cinema. In the last few days, several celebs such as Siddhaanth Vir Surryavanshi, filmmaker Rakesh Kumar and Marathi actress Kalyani Kurale passed away. Siddhaanth died of a heart attack while working out in a gym. He was just 46 years old.
On the other hand, veteran filmmaker Rakesh Kumar passed away in Mumbai due to cancer. Kalyani Kurale Jadhav was also killed in a road accident in Kolhapur. Looks like people the entertainment industry is going through a very dark phase.
