Warner names himself 'ICC Male TikToker of the Decade', trolls Chahal

The Australian's popularity scaled new heights during the COVID-19 lockdown owing to his hilarious TikTok videos.

For someone who had a brilliant outing in IPL 2020, David Warner carried his fine form into the limited-overs series against India. The Australian opener looked in ominous form during his brilliant knocks of 69 and 83 in the first two ODIs that eventually allowed the hosts to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

But, just when he was starting to look dangerous, Warner, sadly, suffered a groin injury that didn't just rule him out of the three-match Test series, but also the first two Test matches. Since then, Warner has watched his teammates from the sidelines as they lost the T20I series 2-1 followed by an emphatic 1st Test win before losing the recent match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

If watching his teammates lose at the MCG wasn't enough, the fact that Warner failed to make the cut for the International Cricket Council's prestigious 'Awards of the Decade' list would have further left him disappointed. But, Warner isn't complaining. In fact, the 34-year-old recently handed himself an ICC award.

Taking to Instagram, the Oz southpaw gave himself a self-made 'ICC Male Tiktoker of the Decade' award after putting up a hilarious photo. He also poked fun at Yuzvendra Chahal before claiming that they both are joint-winners of the fake award.

The Australian's popularity scaled new heights during the COVID-19 lockdown owing to his hilarious TikTok videos. Whether it was dancing to the tunes of Tollywood tracks or reenacting movie scenes with his family, Warner has become a rage amongst Indian fans on social media. Just like Warner, Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, too, is famous for his funny videos on social media which explains why Warner agreed to share the award with him.
