The fan had a banner in her hand that read, “Mahi tum jaha hum waha (Mahi, wherever you go, we will follow)… all the way from Chennai to Dubai to watch you play. CSK PLEASE GET THE CUP HOME. Fangirlforever #Yellove.” The Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings undoubtedly have one of the largest fan bases in the country.

About the match, CSK had entered their ninth final when they took on KKR on Friday, October 15. CSK’s openers yet again stood tall for the team and provided a flying start to the side. The team eventually posted the target of 193 for KKR. The Eoin Morgan-led side started the chase quite well but eventually lost wickets and couldn’t reach the target. CSK thus lifted their fourth IPL title.
