CBSE to conduct practical exams for COVID-affected class 10,12 students

This year, CBSE will conduct the Classes 10, 12 board exams in May-June. In March, CBSE revised the Board exam date sheet.

Amid a rise in Coronavirus cases in India, the Central Board of Secondary Education released an important update for Class 10 and Class 12 students who have been tested positive for COVID or got affected by it.

As per the latest update, COVID-19 affected students would be allowed to appear for the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 students again before June 11.

In a statement on Thursday, Board said, “If any candidate is absent in practical because of being COVID positive or any family member – mother, father, brother, and sister, etc – is reported COVID positive, schools will conduct practical of such candidates at an appropriate time in consultation with the concerned regional officer but latest by June 11, 2021.”

Earlier, in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, CBSE had allowed students to change their examination centres for board practicals as well as theory examinations.

The board had allowed schools to conduct practical exams and other internal assessments from March 1 to June 11.

Also, CBSE had earlier asked schools to immediately upload the correct marks of students after completion of practical exams and internal assessments.

This year, CBSE will conduct the Classes 10, 12 board exams in May-June. In March, CBSE revised the Board exam date sheet.

As per the new schedule, CBSE Board Class 10 final exams will be held from May 4 and will end on June 7. While Class 12 board exam will be held from May 4 to June 14.
