Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal urges centre to cancel CBSE 10th 12th Board Exams 2021 amid COVID 19 surge. The CM stated that nearly six lakh students and one lakh teachers are going to be the part of the examination. Considering the current scenario, it can become the major hotspots leading to the large-scale spreading of Corona.
The Maharashtra Government after postponing Board exams 2021 because of the sudden and high rise in the active COVID-19 cases, has written to the CBSE, CISCE and other boards to reschedule their exam or postpone it until the situation stables.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra urges PM, Education Minister to cancel CBSE exams; says do the right thing. The Congress general secretary had on Sunday written to the education minister seeking cancellation of the CBSE Board exams, saying it will be impossible to ensure safety of students at crowded exam centres.
As per the sources, the Education Ministry and the Central Board of Secondary Education officials are in discussion on the conduct CBSE 10th 12th Board Exams 2021. The decision is expected to be announced soon.
According to the reports, the Ministry of Education and the CBSE on Monday held a crucial meeting to discuss postponing the class 10th and 12th board exams. Although, the Monday meeting turn out to be inconclusive, media reports suggest the central board is thinking for rescheduling the Board exams 2021 amid the spike in cases.
The Education Ministry and CBSE both jointly agreed that cancellation of the upcoming CBSE was not an option. As per the information gathered from the Monday Meeting, the Education Ministry and CBSE is yet to decide anything on conduct of Boards 2021 however in the recent view of rising COVID-19 cases, the exam might get postponed. As per the current date sheet, the CBSE Board Exam 2021 are scheduled to be held in May 2021.
Several Students and their Parents are appealing CBSE to postpone the upcoming Board exams 2021 for class 10 and 12th due to concerns over rise in Covid 19 cases. In response to the appeal CBSE has not made any official announcement yet. "When classes and practical exams are held online, why not Board Exams too," states the appeal.
Demanding the cancellation of CBSE 10th 12th Board Exams 2021, All India Student's Association tweeted, "10 & 12th class CBSE students have been reaching out to us in anguish about holding of board exams in middle of 2nd wave of COVID. #AISA will submit the below letter to Ministry of Education with demands of students & their signatures. #cancelboardexams2021".
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be chairing a meeting today with the CBSE and education ministry on CBSE 10th 12th Board Exams 2021. The final decision on the conduct of CBSE 10th 12th Board Exams 2021 is expected to release today.
As per the recent updates, CBSE 10th Board Exams 2021 are hereby cancelled. The results of Class Xth Board will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board.
The Board Exams for Class XIIth to be held from May 4th to June, 14th, 2021 are hereby postponed. These exams will be held hereafter. The situation will be reviewed on 1st June 2021 by the Board, and details will be shared subsequently.
Any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams.
Students of Class 10 to be promoted on basis of internal assessment. If a student is not satisfied with the assessment then he/she can appear for the examination once the situation (#COVID19) is normal: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank
Though CBSE class 12 board exams 2021 have been postponed till June, the situation will be reviewed on 1st June 2021 by the Board, and details will be shared subsequently. A notice of at least 15 days will be given before the start of the examinations.
The results of Class 10 Board exam 2021 will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board. Education Minister tweeted, "Today Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji chaired a high-level meeting to review the examinations to be held at various levels in view of the developing Corona situation."
Delhi Education Minister said, "I am happy that Class X exams have been cancelled, although for Class XII, it has only been postponed. I appeal to the Central govt to promote Class XII students on the basis of internal assessment & remove their anxiety."

Priyanka Gandhi tweeted, "Glad the government has finally cancelled the 10th standard exams however a final decision MUST be taken for the 12th grade too. Keeping students under undue pressure until June makes no sense. It’s unfair. I urge the government to decide now."
