Uttar Pradesh: Meet 10-year-old child prodigy who cleared class 10 exam with first-class honours

After seeing his remarkable talent, the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board (UPSEB) had given him special permission to enrol in Class 9.

A ten-year-old child prodigy Rashtram Aditya Sri Krishna has passed the class 10 examination from the Uttar Pradesh Board scoring 79 percent marks.

Rashtram Aditya Sri Krishna enrolled in class 9 in an Uttar Pradesh Board school in Lucknow under special permission to appear in the Class 10 examination. This year, on October 17 Aditya will turn 11.

Aditya secured 82 marks in Hindi, 83 in English, 64 in Mathematics, 76 in Science, 84 in Social Science and 86 in optional subject Drawing.

According to Mukesh Kumar Singh a district inspector of schools, Aditya is an extremely talented student and is an inspiration to many of his age and even senior students.

After seeing his remarkable talent, the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board (UPSEB) had given him special permission to enrol in Class 9. He was enrolled in class nine at MD Shukla Inter College in Lucknow in 2019.

According to his school principal HN Upadhyaya, Aditya is an avid reader and is quick to grasp any concept. He is thorough with topics and can solve sums even with his eyes closed.

This was the second time when the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board (UPSEB) had permitted a comparatively teenage child to appear for class ten board examinations. Earlier, child prodigy Sushma Verma had matriculated in class nine at the tender age of five. She became the country’s youngest matriculate in 2007 when she passed the Uttar Pradesh Board examination.

While the State Board’s rules say a scholar needs to be at least fourteen years of age to appear in class ten board exams, these children were exceptions.
