Salt Bae has a burger restaurant where you can buy 'Rs 10,000 burgers for Rs 800'
Celebrity chef Salt Bae created a buzz in the food industry after he opened his restaurant in London in September 2021, with diners slamming the astronomical prices.
Salt Bae, whose real name is Nusret Gokce, first became known for his signature salt-sprinkling technique.
Salt Bae owns Nusr-Et, a chain of luxury steak houses around the world. He is known to charge heftily for his "celebrity" steaks.
The famous golden Tomahawk steak sprinkled with gold leaf is priced at £850 while burgers cost £100.
If you are someone who wants to experience the food at Salt Bae's restaurant but doesn't want to burn a hole in your pockets, your wish can be fulfilled.
The chef has a burger bar in Istanbul, Turkey, where the prices on the menu are significantly less.
A man named Ali (@heymanfoodreviews) shared his experience of visiting Salt Bae's Istanbul burger bar. He shared that the experience was similar to what you'd expect at the London restaurant, as a waiter injected his burger with cheese before using a meat knife to squish it down and cut it in two.
"This was probably the best burger I've had in Istanbul," Ali said.
The best part is that the burger cost him around £8 (Rs 800).
"I find the Nusr-Et restaurant a bit overpriced but this, however, priced very well," Ali added.
Another TikTok user who went to the Istanbul burger joint rated it 8/10. They also joked that they got the "£100 Nusr-Et burger for just £7".
