Viral: Man absolutely disapproves Starbucks' promotional gimmick for their filter coffee in sassy tweet

Twitter user Adithya Venkatesan bumped into a promotional signage by Starbucks. He absolutely disapproved their promotional gimmick for filter coffee.

We are all aware of the extent to which brands will go to promote their products and American coffeehouse company Starbucks is no different. Adithya Venkatesan bumped into a promotional signage by Starbucks. He absolutely disapproved of their promotional gimmick.

The signage in question shows a man sitting with an elderly woman (ajji) with cups of coffee resting right in front of the table. “Ajji approved filter coffee for Shivvu,” read the caption on the signage.

Adithya shared the picture of the signage on Twitter and wrote how no one's ajji or grandmother will ever approve of a filter coffee worth Rs 290 + taxes.

“Dear Starbucks, there's literally no ajji in god's green earth who'll approve a filter coffee for Rs 290 + taxes,” he wrote sharing the video.

The post triggered an array of reactions. While some didn’t seem to have a problem with the pricing, others agreed with what Adithya had to say.

“Starbucks and Ajji don't go hand in hand,” a user wrote.

“For 290 she would buy coffee powder and make filter coffees 2900 times,” another user wrote.
