Air India Business Class passenger finds insect in meal served to him on flight. Airline apologises

A passenger named Mahavir Jain tweeted a shocking video taken on an Air India flight travelling from Mumbai to Chennai.

Things are not looking up for several airlines as reports of finding hair and insects in the food, unannounced cancellations and delays have surfaced online quite frequently. It was not that long ago when celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor complained about the quality of the food served to him on an Air India flight.

And now, the same airline is under the radar as a passenger named Mahavir Jain tweeted a shocking video taken on a flight travelling from Mumbai to Chennai. Jain took to Twitter to share a glimpse of the meal served to him on the business class of Air India. The clip shows an insect crawling through the half-eaten plate of food.

“@airindiain insect in the meal served in business class,” read the caption.

While the airline promptly responded to Jain’s complaint, netizens were not at all happy with the recurring cases of finding unwanted stuff in meals. “Dear Mr. Jain, we're sorry to note your experience while flying with us. This is not something good to hear. We strictly follow measures to ensure hygiene at every step of the process,” Air India wrote.

People showed their disgust in the comments section as well. Many pointed out how such service was not at all expected when the passenger is paying so much for a comfortable flight.
