US eatery's spice levels for paneer butter masala range from 'American Mild' to 'Indian Spicy'. See viral post
Spicy food in India is next-level and there is no denying that fact. A major section of the desi population has a super high spice tolerance. But, people in the UK and US prefer milder versions of our dishes and we have proof. So, a user named Aditi Shekhar shared a screenshot of a restaurant's menu that had options to choose the spice level of paneer butter masala.
The now-viral post was shared by Aditi Shekhar on Twitter. The post featured a screenshot of the menu of a restaurant called Biryani City in Bethesda. Aditi wanted to order paneer butter masala and it had options for the spice level as well. From zero spice and "American Mild" to "Indian Medium" and "Indian Spicy", it had it all.
"I just tried to order Indian food in Bethesda and this is hilarious," reads the caption of the post.
The post obviously went viral online with a ton of reactions from social media users.
"This is perfect. I always get confused which restaurant has what kind of spice level. Everyone has different mild, medium spicy. This is a very good distinction," a user wrote.
