Maggots In Chicken: Customer's Malaysian Restuarant Experience Has Twitter Repulsed
If you are easily repulsed by videos of food nightmares, we suggest you turn away from this story right now.
When a food item goes off in your home, you throw it to the bin. When something is undercooked or too salty at a restaurant, you send it back to the kitchen.
This is not a situation we want you to picture. It's something that has happened for real with a customer at a Malaysian restaurant.
A Mamak restaurant has come under fire after a customer filmed a video showing a half-eaten fried chicken meal infested with maggots.
The clip has now gone viral on Twitter and other platforms, leaving netizens repulsed.
The short video begins with a shot of the tables in the restaurant. As the camera pans left, the half-eaten piece of fried chicken is seen on a table with other plates.
As another person holds the piece in is hand, the videographer zooms into the meat to show the maggots wriggling inside.
The clip quickly went viral after it was shared on the Twitter account 'Malaysia's Most Viral'
The caption roughly translates to: "Disgusted... There are a lot of maggots in that chicken... It would be nice if it was included in the stomach..."
While no other details was shared about the incident, Twitter users were quick to react to the video. Many even shared their own scary experiences at Mamak restaurants.
A user wrote, ""I once ate at a Mamak restaurant where the chicken had worms. It looked beautiful from the outside, but the contents were infested with caterpillars on their way out. It was a mistake not to make a video. The guy from the next table was angry and asked why I didn't make a video. I'm happy to report that I had a chance to snap a picture. Can you try to find the caterpillar in it?"
"A friend once told me that he couldn't eat at mamak's because his stomach always hurt and he pooped after eating at mamak's. Apparently, that's right. Because I experienced the same thing as him. Stomach ache & poo after eating at mamak's," wrote another.
