Celebrity chef makes Rs 1.6 Lakh pizza for client, netizens say 'I'd rather spend the money on flight to Italy'

A celebrity chef has shared a unique request she received from a client - they wanted a pizza that cost $2,000 (Rs 1.63 lakh).

"My celebrity client wants a $2,000 (£1,590) pizza appetiser for the dinner tonight, let’s go to Erewhon," Brooke Baevsky said in an Instagram video.

Brooke then goes shopping for the pizza ingredients, which included a range of organic produce, almonds, gluten-free flour blends and $30 water, among many other unconventional ingredients.

The total bill amounted to $944. There was a shipment of organic Manuka honey worth $250 from New Zealand and of caviar amounting to $200.

"Let’s make a $2k pizza for a celeb client #chefbae," the video is captioned.

Brooke posted behind-the-scenes clips showing her making the pizza. She topped the dish with vegan pesto which contained 24-carat gold flakes.

"Lastly, I make an organic date and fig balsamic reduction and then top the pizza with even more 24-karat gold flakes," she said.

In another video, Brooke is seen serving the extravagant pizza to her celebrity client.

One user said, "The way the pizza is more than my rent." Another wrote, "This seems so extra for no reason lol."

A third user commented, "I’d rather spend 2k on a flight to Italy for pizza." Someone added, "It’s crazy how rich people choose to spend their money."

Yet another asked, "Do these people not know caviar isn’t vegan??"
