A Starbucks in New York closed down following which the excess supplies had to be discarded.

When it comes to coffee, for many people, Starbucks is the go-to place. However, the video you are about to watch will leave you pretty annoyed with the brand. It shows the huge stock of untouched and perfectly good food wasted and thrown away on the street.

A New York Starbucks closed down following which the excess supplies had to be discarded. Rather than giving it away to people in need, massive bags of discarded food, coffee beans and cutlery were thrown away on the street. Anna Sacks, who is well known by the name 'The Trash Walker', shared the video of the discarded bags lying on the street.

Anna’s job is to throw light on the trash discarded by New Yorkers on a daily basis. She was doing her job when she stumbled upon this dumpster of Starbucks on the upper west side of New York.

She saw the massive bags of food in appropriate condition and decided to stock up her own pantry with the supplies.

The video was initially shared on TikTok and Instagram.

As the post went viral, a Twitter user shared it and wrote, “A New York Starbucks closed down, and someone walking by outside found a pile of trash bags filled to the brim with food, coffee, and supplies. The idea that there's not enough to go around is a dangerous myth.”

Watch the video here:

“I agree, but the laws are in place that if you give food away for free and people get sick, it’s on Starbucks plus other things. You post this as a finger to corporations yet add no real substance knowing this. Just like these union activists with more than 2 employee not creating a labor peace agreement, yet talk shit about business. All gaslighting.,” a user wrote.

“Every company should be required to donate perfectly good food they're not using. The amount of waste in our current system is pretty disgusting,” another user wrote.
