COVID-19 booster dose is must to get travel pass
Alhosn app, the official COVID-19 results app for the UAE, stated that the vaccinated citizens and residents of the UAE must take the COVID-19 booster dose after a full year (365 days) from the last dose taken in the country in order to obtain the international health passport (travel pass).
It called on everyone to take the booster dose in time-after more than 365 days from the last one in order to get the travel pass, which is an international health passport tailored to the citizens and residents. This passport is acceptable at the airports and customs of the countries, which require it upon arrival.
Alhosn app further explained that the travel pass QR code would expire for users who took their last COVID-19 vaccine in the UAE over 365 days ago, stressing the need to schedule booster shots to maintain the green pass status for international travel.
It also added the travel pass is an international travel certificate for COVID-19 vaccination and test results for the UAE citizens, residents and tourists. This certificate is compatible with both the EU's COVID-19 digital certificate system and the IATA’s digital travel authorisation system.
