Vatican rejects sister Lucy’s final appeal against her expulsion from Church 

A few months ago sister Lucy had appealed before the Vatican for her expulsion which was then rejected.

Vatican rejected the second and final appeal of sister Lucy against her expulsion from Church stating that she failed to explain her lifestyle 'which allegedly violated church rules'. Sister Lucy was an active participant in Bishop Franco Mulakkal rape case, giving a statement against him.

A few months ago sister Lucy had appealed before the Vatican for her expulsion which was then rejected. The second rejection letter had come on Sunday. Both the times, she appealed that the Franciscan Clarist Congregation, to which belonged had biasly expelled her for supporting the rape survivor nun in the Bishop Franco Mulakkal rape case and standing strong against the Bishop.

In August 2019, Franciscan Clarist Congregation expelled the sister from the Church stating that her lifestyle were against the rules of the Church-driving and owning a car, writing and publishing poems and attending meetings.

With the second and final appeal rejected from Vatican, Mananthavady diocese of her Church state that Sister Lucy will no longer be able to stay in the church, though they say they haven’t received any information of the rejection directly from Vatican as the sister appealed by herself and not through the system within Church.
