8 killed as massive fire breaks out at COVID-19 hospital in Gujarat's Ahmedabad
The massive fire broke out at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Shrey Hospital in Navrangpura area of Ahmedabad in the wee hours of Thursday.
Atleast eight people were killed while several others were injured after a massive fire broke out at a COVID-19 designated hospital in Gujarat's Ahmedabad on Thursday, reported news agency PTI.
The massive fire broke out at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Shrey Hospital in Navrangpura area of Ahmedabad in the wee hours of Thursday.
The officials said that they have reached the spot and are trying to douse the fire, adding that 40 other COVID-19 patients at the facility were rescued and shifted to a civic hospital in the city.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
