Rhea Chakroborty lodged in single-cell without fan or bed, next to Indrani Mukerjea: Report
Arrested actor Rhea Chakraborty, who is being investigated by multiple central agencies in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, put up in a single cell without a bed or a fan at Mumbai's Byculla prison, said an NDTV report.
Rhea Chakraborty, who was denied bail by a sessions court in Mumbai, has been lodged in a cell next to Indrani Mukerjea, accused of murdering her daughter Sheena Bora in a case that took the nation by storm, the report added.
The 28-year-old actor has been kept in a single room following concerns that she could be attacked by fellow prisoners over her alleged involvement in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, said the report. She has been given only a chataai (mat) and may also get a table fan if the court allows it, the report added. However, no pillow or bed has been provided to her, it said.
Rhea Chakraborty was on Tuesday arrested in Mumbai by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after three days of questioning by the agency in connection with the drug-related allegation surrounding Sushant Singh Rajput's death.
The probe agency does not want custody for her as according to the officials, they have enough evidence and information in connection with the case.
Rhea was sent to judicial custody and sent to jail for 14 days and was asked to go to a sessions court for bail. The court rejected the bail pleas of the actor and her brother on Friday.
