The bees were detected before passengers boarded the flights.

Swarms of honeybees attacked two Vistara aircraft on Sunday afternoon and Monday morning at the Kolkata airport, causing delays. On both occasions, fire brigade officials used water cannons to drive away the swarms. The bees were detected before passengers boarded the flights.

An airline official even posted a video of Monday’s bee attack on his Youtube and Twitter profiles of thousands of bees swarming a Vistara flight near the front right door of the aircraft and it soon became viral across social media platforms. The swarm of bees were found to have almost covered two windows and a large area surrounding the same.
“Bad climate. A technical fault. A late-arriving plane. Just a number of the causes your flight is perhaps delayed.

Senior pilots and airline officers mentioned no plane is allowed to take off if it has a swarm of bugs on its physique. “Each plane has a number of small probes, which decide the static strain and the entire strain of an airflow positioned within the neighborhood of the plane. These are extraordinarily delicate, and even when one bee goes contained in the probe, the air pace indicators can go incorrect, resulting in a serious accident,” mentioned a veteran pilot.
