Let's have a look at the five Gandhian principles that we can imbibe in our daily life

Non-violence: Gandhi ji's philosophy of non-violence originates from the Sanskrit word 'Ahimsa'. Gandhi ji perceived non-violence not just as avoidance of physical violence but also passive violence. Mahatma Gandhi believed that non-violence is the greatest weapon against any brute force.

Simplicity: Gandhi ji's whole life was an example of simplicity. He embodied 'simple living and high thinking' and that was evident by his dress, commitment and mannerism. He believed that we should keep and use only what we need and eschew extravagance.

Satyagraha: Mahatma Gandhi's actions were based on non-violence which he used to call Satyagraha. With his concept of Satyagraha, Gandhi ji showed people to win over greed and fear by love. As part of Satyagraha, Mahatma Gandhi introduced the technique of resistance to evil and untruth.

Swaraj: Though Swaraj means self-rule but Gandhi ji gave it an altogether new meaning. Gandhi's Swaraj encompasses all spheres of life. For him, Swaraj is to be attained by educating the masses to a sense of their capacity to regulate and control authority.

Truth: The concept of truth by Mahatma Gandhi tells about learning from your own mistakes. He used to say all our activities should be based on Truth. He said without truth it is impossible to observe any principles or rules in our life.
