'Vijayan can't go beyond Constitution': Kerala BJP chief slams state govt over judicial probe against ED
"Cases are coming against Pinarayi Vijayan, so he is trying to block the investigation."
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday lashed out against Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for recommending a judicial probe against Central agencies in connection with several cases.
While speaking to media, Kerala BJP chief K Surendran said, "Cases are coming against Pinarayi Vijayan, so he is trying to block the investigation. He's trying to sabotage the probe. He is not Idi Amin (former autocratic ruler of Uganda), he can't go beyond Constitution."

Surendran's comments have come a day after the Kerala Cabinet recommended a judicial probe against central investigation agencies following the ongoing probe into several cases, including the Kerala gold smuggling case.
The decision was taken at a virtual cabinet meeting here chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The probe is subject to approval from the Election Commission (EC).
The Kerala govt, in November last year, withdrawn general consent accorded to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for registering cases in the state.
