Strict restrictions have been brought in places of Nilamamoodu, Pallukkal and Undankode. Traffic has been completely banned on the byroads towards the TN side. Police plan to prevent persons travelling from Kerala to the place. Travellers proceeding to Tamil Nadu will be allowed to pass the border only after producing Covid-19 negative certificate. Vehicles from Kerala will be permitted to enter the state of Tamil Nadu only after strict checking on border areas. Covid negative certificate is also requested by the authorities. Even during last year when there was a spike in Covid cases, the TN governemnt has enforced strict regulations.
