Mathrubhumi News senior chief reporter Vipin Chand passed away due to Covid. He was 42. After he tested positive for Covid, he was under treatment at the Ernakulam Medical Trust hospital.
Vipin is a native of Paravoor and the end came early Sunday morning. He was very active in reporting even during the Covid times. Vipin was also affected by pneumonia and was undergoing treatment for over 2 weeks.
Vipin made his journalistic stint in 2005 through Indiavision and joined Mathrubhumi in 2012. He is son of Paravoor Koduvazhanga Paalapurathu Chandran and is survived by his wife Sreedevi and son Maheshwar.
