A customer who has ordered the Apple iPhone 12 has received a box full of soap.

The festive season has already started in India and a majority of brands are offering huge discounts on their products to lure more customers. Flipkart and Amazon India are one of the two big players in the country who are offering hefty discounts across all the products available on the platform. Buying an iPhone is a dream for many and these discounts and offers during the festive season make it easier for many consumers to purchase a device that is high in price during regular days.

A few years back we heard many cases where consumers were receiving bars of soap on ordering iPhones from Snapdeal and another e-commerce site. Now in the latest news, the same incident has been reported where a consumer who orders an iPhone from Flipkart received a couple of soap bars. Let’s have a closer look.

According to a report from DNA, a customer who has ordered the Apple iPhone 12 has received a box full of soap. Flipkart is one of the most trusted e-commerce sites in India and this type of error from the company’s side was not expected. Even after the discount the iPhone 12 is still up for grabs at Rs 62,999 and receiving a soap bar after spending tens of thousands is heartbreaking.

The report suggests that the claim for receiving a soap bar instead of an iPhone is made by a customer named Simranpal Singh. According to Singh, he has received two bars of Nirma soap instead of his iPhone 12 order. The customer has also shared a video on YouTube which shows the unboxing of the product. He refuses to share the OTP with the delivery person otherwise it would have shown that the order is received by the customer.

So next time if you’re planning to purchase an iPhone online make sure you unbox the product before sharing the OTP with the delivery person.
